Somehow, I always feel I'm on the right track when I find a feather. Maybe, I overdosed on Hildegard or Julian of Norwich. Anyway, together was a two feather day. Plus lots of plastic trash picked up in an area of almost divine beauty. Yes, I know that much of what I grab is not really recycled. Still, it is not blowing into the Atlantic right now anyway.
How bizarre. Green strapping tape removed from the Selva sidewalk reminds me of the eels I saw in Tokyo. When I inquired about their origin the owner said something in Japanese that made my daughter-in-laws eyes widen. Vivi , she whispered, these eels come from Green Cove Springs....30 miles from our home. Sad that we have water around us suitable for developing such delicacies and we allow plastic pollution. Because I saw a grade B movie in Jonesboro, Ga when I was 9,The Black Hand has always represented to me a misuse of power. How can any hands heave plastic straws, cups and caps into the environment? Sadness.
